Accept Google Pay with Checky Pro
One tap on Android and in Chrome, using a card the customer already saved. Priced as that card, with nothing added for the convenience.
New here? Checky Pro is the payments & checkout platform for modern e-commerce — Google Pay is one of the 21 payment methods you can switch on today.
What is Google Pay?
Google Pay is a way to hand over a card the customer has already stored, rather than a payment method with money of its own. Behind the button sits a Visa, Mastercard or Amex payment; what Google supplies is the card details, the addresses and the confirmation, so nothing has to be typed.
Its reach differs from Apple Pay in a way worth knowing. Google Pay is not limited to Android phones: any card saved to a Google account can be used in Chrome on a laptop, which makes it a desktop conversion tool as much as a mobile one. In markets where Android dominates — much of Central and Eastern Europe, for instance — it is the express button that matters most.
Operationally it behaves like any other card payment: same rate, same settlement, same dispute rules, no fee from Google and none from us. And like Apple Pay, it only pays for itself when the button sits above the form. An express button buried under the card fields is a button nobody uses.

Why Google Pay, and why through Checky Pro
The top row is the method itself; the bottom row is what our platform adds on top of it.
No form to fill
Card and addresses come from the Google account. On a phone that removes the whole reason mobile checkouts get abandoned.
Android and desktop both
It is not a phone-only button: a card saved to a Google account works in Chrome on a laptop too.
No premium for the convenience
Priced exactly as the card underneath it. Google takes nothing from you and we add nothing on top.
Placed where it converts
Our checkout puts the express buttons above the form by default — the only place where they actually shorten anything.
Routes that recover declines
A tokenised payment that declines on one acquiring route retries on the next, exactly like your other card payments.
One balance across methods
Wallet payments land in the same balance and payout schedule as cards and local methods. One reconciliation.
How a Google Pay payment works
From click to balance — what your customer sees, and what happens behind it.
- 1

The express button sits above the form, so the customer never reaches the card fields.
- 2
Confirms the saved card
Card and addresses come from the Google account — nothing to type.
- 3
Authorised in seconds
A tokenised card payment takes the best-performing acquiring route.
- 4
Settled to your balance
Added to your Checky Pro balance and paid out in 3–7 business days.
Google Pay, answered
Still something open? The team answers on WhatsApp, usually the same day.
Does Google Pay cost extra?
No. It is priced as the card underneath it — from 2,95% + € 0,25 for an EEA card. Google charges you nothing and we add no wallet fee.
Do customers need an Android phone?
No. Any card saved to a Google account can be used in Chrome on a desktop, so Google Pay helps on laptop traffic as well as on Android.
Should I offer both Apple Pay and Google Pay?
Yes, in almost every case. They cover different devices and neither costs you anything beyond the normal card rate, so offering one without the other just excludes half your mobile visitors.
Can I use Google Pay for subscriptions?
Yes. The saved card can be charged again, so recurring billing works the same way it does with a stored card.
Do Google Pay payments still get chargebacks?
They can — it is a card payment underneath, so the same dispute rules and the same € 25,00 chargeback fee apply.
